Feminized Autoflowering Varieties
Cannabis Indica and Cannabis Sativa respond to changes in the day/night light cycle. According to the hours of daily light, an Indica or Sativa variety will start to bloom. Auto-flowering varieties in Cannabis however do not respond to the day/night light cycle. Autoflowering varieties start blooming only in response to age, this property is exclusive to Cannabis Ruderalis.Dutch Passion has worked with Ruderalis varieties extracted from the Northern latitudes in Russia (Ural/Udmurtia) and Canada. Ruderalis varieties contain no THC, in order to make them psycho active they must be hybridized with Sativa’s or Indica’s that contain THC. Dutch Passion has focused on “early maturing autoflowering varieties” because of their remarkably short lifecycle. These early maturing autoflowering varieties are only offered in their feminized (AutoFem) form. Pioneering breeding work has made these varieties extremely potent yet they can be grown from seed to bud in just 8-10 weeks indoors or outdoors. This is yet another remarkable breakthrough in cannabis technology from Dutch Passion, the master breeders who were the first to bring you feminized seeds.
Dutch Passions first two AutoFem varieties were introduced in 2009 and have been in huge demand ever since. To meet this increased demand, two more autofem varieties were introduced in 2010. Growers are becoming more and more attracted to the benefits of AutoFem seeds. The success of AutoFem seeds reflects the advantages of growing AutoFem varieties over non-automatic varieties for some growers in both indoor and outdoor gardens.
Until recently, Ruderalis has not been bred commercially as it has no psycho-active properties. Dutch Passion has now successfully pioneered the hybridization of Ruderalis varieties with some of our prize strains to create a new family of highly potent cannabis plants. Because of the short lifecycle of approximately 2.5 months and their short shape, AutoFem varieties are perfect to grow almost anywhere. These are truly cosmopolitan cannabis plants, unlike anything you have seen before, and they make it possible to grow cannabis indoors or outdoors in almost any conditions or climate. Outdoors they are easy to grow in containers as well in soil. Containers can be put on terraces and small areas like windowsills and balconies. In Mediterranean climates up to three harvests a year are possible. Even in the extreme north with short summers all AutoFem strains can be grown once a year. In the past it has been a challenge to grow quality pot in very short summers, often it was impossible. Thanks to the unique automatic flowering of Dutch Passion hybridized Ruderalis, excellent pot can now be grown anywhere. This is a breakthrough that could be just as important as our feminized seed technology was, these varieties are already becoming best sellers. The best indoor grow results with AutoFem seeds can be achieved with a cycle of 20 hours light/4 hours darkness.
AutoBlueberry was created for different reasons. First of all to bring superior quality in the automatic feminized genepool. Blueberry itself is one of our alltime bestsellers, a Dutch Passion Classic. The special qualities of Dutch Passion's Blueberry are known worldwide. In AutoBlueberry these qualities are incorporated in the feminized and automatic form. Automatic feminized varieties have several advantages above lightcycle dependent feminized varieties:
AutoBlueberry is ready for harvest in about ten weeks, the plants appear outdoors for only a short period. They don't grow tall and hide themselves easy for the eye of unwelcome visitors. For the same reason it is possible to harvest outdoors two or three times per season, depending on the latitude. At Northern latitudes it is a very attractive alternative for an early summer crop, while in mediterranian climates two or three harvests per season are not uncommon. In every aspect AutoBlueberry is a true cosmopolitan. Indoors this variety is an amazing alternative for growing from clones.
As an automatic genetic source we have used Canadian Ruderalis genetics. Backcrossing till the F4 generation resulted in AutoBlueberry to become 100% automatic. The F4 autoflowered 100% , 25 days after germination of the seeds. Our AutoBlueberry seeds (F5) were produced by selfing the F4.
The plants still carry most of the Blueberry caracteristics, so the phenotype is distinctive Blueberry. Most plants display the famous light blue/purple
colouring, caracteristic of Blueberry. Smell and taste are sweet and fruity (blueberry). The strenght and quality of the high/stone is above moderate.

Autoflowering
AutoMazar is a remarkably heavy-yielding autoflowering hybrid between our legendary Mazar and a Ruderalis/Indica. Mazar is a triple prize winner, a best seller praised for its potency, high yields and soft taste. AutoMazar produces sticky, generously proportioned buds and grows to a height of 70 to 80 cm. AutoMazar is a typical Indica, a strong-growing dense plant with big leaves and yields of 50 to 125 grams per plant. Best result so far is a plant that produced 205 grams outdoor in Southern Europe.
It is a robust strain that is easy to grow and guarantees a heavy early summer harvest of superior quality when grown outdoors. The stable genetics ensure that AutoMazar is resistant to pests and diseases. The flavor and aroma of this resinous variety are that of an original earthy Indica. The intense “body-high” is very pleasant. AutoMazar is a must for all Indica lovers, not at least for it's tremendous yield. Highly recommended.

Autoflowering
Isis is a mostly-sativa variety from our Seedbank and is recognized as one of the best “connoisseur quality” sativa varieties.
We used Isis to hybridize one of our fast maturing Ruderalis varieties to create PolarLight. This was our third feminized autoflowering variety and is quite probably the best autofem variety available.
PolarLight is easy to grow and has a sweet fruity aroma with spicy hints of Haze. The high is clear, powerful and long lasting.
After about 2.5 weeks of vegetative growth PolarLight automatically goes into its 7 week flowering stage, developing compact resin-laden buds. For those that like to work with Autofem seeds this variety is a must. You will not be disappointed.

Autoflowering
To create SnowStorm we selected the sturdy Masterkush from the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan as the THC-rich variety. Masterkush is a compact and forgiving variety that grows well in any medium such as soil, hydro, coco etc.
Master Kush produces an extremely potent smoke that is smooth and sweet with earthy/citrus flavours, qualities that have been retained in the SnowStorm breeding process.
Masterkush proved to be an excellent strain to hybridize with a carefully selected
Ruderalis variety to create SnowStorm. This breeding process took us almost 2 years to perfect, but the result was well worth the wait. SnowStorm is a very stable, high yielding variety that has astonishing potency and is full of resin. When ready to harvest it resembles a Christmas tree that has been in a snow storm!

Taiga is an hybrid between an auto-flowering Ruderalis/Indica and Power Plant. From our famous Power Plant gene pool we selected an extreme early flowering female Power Plant. This female we used to produce the female pollen. These pollen we used to fertilze the female Ruderalis/Indica. Taiga grows with big compact buds. The smell and taste are evident Power Plant. Taiga is a very good yielder for such a small plant. Taiga does not ask for a special fertilizing regime, which means that it’s easy to grow. Containers of 1.5 to 2 liters are sufficient to garantee a good harvest. Taiga loves a place in the sun, which she needs for a quality yield. Tundra is an hybrid between an autoflowering Ruderalis/Indica and our outdoor champion Passion #1. We chose Passion #1 for it’s outstanding “outdoor” qualities: healty (pestresistant), strong and early flowering, soft smoke and superb taste. Spicy, lemon and grapefruit.Small bushy plants. Mild Up-High.
